Salesians of Don Bosco West Africa Province

Salesians of Don Bosco West Africa Province

Director

The PDO was established in 2006 with the mandate of faciliting the animation of the AFW Province by using its human resources or technical expertise to guide the formulation and the planning process of the Provincial Strategic Plan (OPP/SEPP) and the effective execution of the Provincial Strategic Plan using both participatory and the Human Rights Based Approach.

In our desire to pursue vigorous development of children and young people to become value based and productive citizens; the Salesians of Don Bosco AFW Province uses the following 4 interventions as its pragmatic approach for reaching out to children and young people in society especially the poorest of the poor and the needy.

  • Assistance to children and youth exposed to high-risk.
  • Education and formation.
  • Social Pastoral.
  • Health.

All our cahievements could not have been possible without the support, help and generosity of Don Bosco developtment partners, cooperate organizations/institutions, benefactors and private or individual donors.

I want to express our sincere gratitude for the indispensible support received over the years enabling us to reach out to thousands of children and young people yearly.

These financial and in-kind supports have enabled us to accomplish the following missions and MDG interventions:

  • Reduced extreme poverty.
  • Improved access to elementary, basic, Junior High School, Senior High School and Technical Education.
  • Assistance to children exposed to high-risk.

It is my believe that you will continue to partner with Don Bosco AFW to reach-out to many more children and youth in West Africa.

Thank you, and God bless you!

Fr. Krzysztof Nizniak,
Director since 2015.
